A Welcome Message from Our Mayor...

Greetings,

Welcome to the Village of Cambridge and our web-site.  As a life-long resident I am proud

of where Cambridge is as a Village and am equally proud to serve as Mayor. We have a fantastic Board of Trustees who bring diversity, insight and enthusiasm to the Board.  Our Village employees, volunteers, and

ancillary Boards are dedicated to providing the quality of services

that residents expect while keeping costs for delivery in check.

Cambridge is a great place; one of the true small towns.  Over the past

several years, through the diligent work of many Village and area residents, Cambridge has solidified its small town appeal. The Village’s Comprehensive Plan identifies many of the things that are vital to our Village and way of life.  Through the Plan, community efforts have been focused on improving the Village center, developing parks and recreational activities and improving land use regulations.

Currently, several large projects are in their final phases.  The new Village Municipal Center on North Park Street is open for business.  The Center houses the

Village Clerk’s Office, the Police Department, the Historian

and Village Archives, the Village Court and Judges’ Office

and a public meeting room. This spring a skate park and playground will open on the property.  The revitalization

of the Cambridge Freight Yard, through the work of the Community Partnership, is nearing completion, including

the Village’s first public parking lot.

There are far too many projects to list in this message; however, I encourage you to check out what is going on in Cambridge through this web-site and by attending our monthly Board meetings.  We meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Center.  Your participation is very important to all of us on the Board.

Your voice will help us serve the needs of our community most effectively.

The Village of Cambridge is steeped in tradition and history,
history that we continue
to make every day!  Thank you for
taking the time to visit our web-site and be part of the Cambridge community.  If I or any of the Board
members can be of assistance, please do not
hesitate to contact us.  We will continue
the tradition of openness and t
transparency in Village government.

Thank you for all that you do for your community.

My best,

Mark
